The sheet sequence and naming in the project overview can now be edited: The drawing sheets can now be moved as required in the project overview using drag and drop. The name of the respective drawing sheet can be edited by right-clicking.
Improved automatic recognition of characteristics: special min. / max. specifications; Roughness specifications with specification of the minimum roughness; dimensions with specification of the limits
Further improvements relate to file exports in various output formats, updating of general tolerance tables and optimizations during PDF import.
An error has been fixed where the used license place was not released when closing the software.
Optimization of the new Excel test report template: The last published test report template ELIAS_Report_2024.xltx has been split into two template variants. ELIAS_Report_2024.xltx now has a maximum scope of 1,000 possible characteristics; the previous scope of 8,000 characteristics is represented by ELIAS_Report_Max_2024.xltx. The background to this is that the smaller template is now only 3.4 MB in size (compared to 12.4 MB for the larger template), loads significantly faster and is sufficiently comprehensive in most cases.
In addition to minor formal improvements, the drawing of check dimension frames in the requirement can now also be switched off via an option on the Report worksheet.
See In the Excel file, the description on the Info worksheet.
An error in the Excel test report template ELIAS_Report_2023.xltx has been fixed. Missing rows have been added to the PPF worksheet.
Further improvements concern the interpretation of geometric tolerances (symmetrical division of the tolerance zone width when stamping), the PDF import (improved line display in some cases), the performance of the display in the drawing window (noticeable with a large number of selected stamps) and the recognition of auxiliary dimensions.
Errors in the area of characteristic list and characteristic properties as well as during PDF import have been fixed.
A bug has been fixed where nominal sizes and tolerance values in the Excel, CSV and DFD export were undesirably rounded to the set numerical accuracy.
A bug has been fixed where the tool windows (Stamp with, Define field division, ...) were not displayed in the drawing window when the alternative GDI renderer (for the compatibility mode) was used.
Improved stamp-with-dialog: The general tolerance tables to be used can now be set in the Stamp with dialog and saved in a quick selection catalog. In addition, the input field for the next stamp number to be used has been functionally extended. In addition, the entries in the Stamp with dialog can now be reset by clicking on a button.
See User manual > Functions > Characteristics > Automatic stamping
Recovering projects: Backups are now automatically created from which projects can be recovered. The contents of a project status can be viewed in advance in a preview.
See User Manual > Functions > Help > Recovery
New Excel report template: With the template ELIAS_Report_2024.xltx, the advantages of the last published Excel template are now also available for the release procedures PPF, PPA/PSW and FAI: Repeat characteristics according to an adjustable number, for example to map mold cavity part tests; display the characteristic requirement with extended graphical symbolism, for example geometric information in indicator frames.
See In the Excel file, the description on the Info worksheet.
Import protected PDF: PDF files protected with a password can now be imported.
Further improvements concern the automatic recognition of characteristics, special requirements and cases as well as the general program flow.
Enhancement of the filter function: Filters can now be saved with names. This makes them available in other projects with just a few clicks. In addition, a filter is applied directly to the entire project and no longer needs to be set individually for each sheet.
Furthermore, several individual exports can be triggered for each export process, taking into account selected filters. For example, if an export is triggered using two filters, two individual filtered files or groups of files are exported.
See User Manual > User interface > Function window
Edit filters > Edit filters
Representation of angles: Angles can now be specified either in decimal (example: 1.5°) or in sixty system notation (degrees, minutes, seconds; example: 1°30'). By default, the notation from the drawing is used when stamping. Optionally, this can (still) be converted to decimal notation. Numerical values used for calculations are still exported in decimal format.
See User Manual > Settings > Settings > Characteristic > “Number format” group
Read test plan attributes directly from the drawing: By right-clicking on a drawing entry, texts can be set directly as an attribute in the general data of the test plan version or copied to the clipboard.
See User Manual > Functions > Test plans > Edit test plan > Additional test plan data
New Excel test report template: The ELIAS_Report_Max_2023.xltx template provides two major new features. Characteristics can be repeated according to an adjustable number, for example to map cavity part inspections. Furthermore, the characteristic requirement, the short description of the characteristic, is displayed with extended graphical symbols, for example geometric (shape and position tolerance) information in indicator frames.
See In the Excel file on the Info worksheet
The stamp with specification function has been expanded to include the Ra and Rz classes. Surface specifications that are no longer ISO-compliant - which do not contain the Ra or Rz surface codes - can now be stamped correctly with a single click.
See User Manual > Functions > Characteristics > Stamp with preset
For stamping, you can set that characteristics are either always created, only created for individual stamping or never created, depending on their properties. This could already be set for the stamping of features in the auxiliary dimension and theoretically exact dimension categories. The categories of raw measurement and test measurement have now been added. It is now also possible to specify that no general tolerances are to be applied for raw measurements.
See User Manual > Settings > Settings > Characteristic > “Variable characteristics” group
The Bulgarian language has been added.
The automatic recognition of characteristics has been improved.
Other areas of the software have been optimized.
Hardware accelerated graphics export: Drawing and stamp graphics can now be exported hardware accelerated and thus much faster than before. By default, the most suitable method is selected automatically: either hardware-accelerated or, as before, software-based.
See User Manual > Settings > Settings > Export (> “Drawing graphic format” group; > “Stamp graphic format” group)
See Administrator's Manual > Parameter file "Settings" > “Settings > Export” menu
Fixed an issue that caused drawing content in the form of raster graphics to be exported distorted when drawing and stamping graphics.
Move stamps as a group and align them to the grid: After right-clicking on several selected stamps (start function in context menu), these or their target points can now be moved as a group. In addition, one or more stamps as well as target points can be aligned to a grid while moving them with the CTRL key additionally pressed.
Case-by-case decision when selecting the general tolerance class for angles: Optionally, the default setting for the general tolerance class (column) of angles can be set to Do not assign automatically. As a result, for newly created general tolerance angle characteristics, the corresponding characteristic property is left open. With a marking and highlighting in the characteristics list as well as in the Characteristics Properties window, the user is prompted to select the appropriate tolerance class subsequently.
Note Background: General angle tolerance classes are usually determined by the shortest angle leg. This information comes from the context of the drawing and cannot be determined automatically.
See User Manual > Settings > Project settings > Tolerance tables > “Angular measurements” group
Alternative renderer for display in the drawing window: As an alternative to the default renderer, the GDI renderer can now be used if no DirectX runtime (with Direct3D enabled) is available.
See User Manual > Settings > Settings > “Display” group
Czech was added as another program language.
The speed of the drawing and stamp graphic export has been increased.
Fixed an issue where a UiAccess.json (parameter file to affect user interface accessibility) passed via startup parameter call was not applied. Passed UiAccess parameters are now taken into account again.
Other improvements affect working in the drawing window, automatic characteristic recognition, and compatibility of the current Excel test report template with older versions of Office.
Fixed an issue where the current view could not be exported as a PDF.
Other improvements relate to specific requirements of individual customers.

Bug fix The start value was not always incremented as expected. The original behaviour was restored.
Saving, Export
Bug fix Characteristics could be exported to Excel and CSV in the wrong order if the names of drawing sheets in a test plan version were exactly the same. This error has been corrected.
User Interface, Drawing, Characteristics
Bug fix Concerns the "Characteristics Properties" window. The display in the list boxes for the tolerance table and tolerance class was not updated in some cases when switching between characteristics. This error has been corrected.
User Interface, Drawing, Characteristics
Bug fix In the Characteristics Properties window, an overlong title caused the contents of the window to become correspondingly wider, so that it was necessary to work with a scroll bar in an uncomfortable way. The width of the window is now fixed. An overlong title content is shortened and can be viewed in a tip text by hovering over it with the mouse pointer.
Bug fixing Concerns the "UT" field in the "Characteristics Properties" window. The last character was not deleted when the backspace key was pressed for the first time, instead the cursor only jumped one place to the left. This error has been corrected.
Saving, Export
Change/Extension With the last programme version, the change was published in the Excel export that numbers are no longer exported as text, but as a numerical value. However, stamp texts were also affected by this, so that for example "1.1" was interpreted in Excel as the number "1,1". Texts are now always exported with a text formatting character (apostrophe; recommended by Microsoft) to specify the formatting.
Settings
See User manual > Settings > Settings > Stamp > “Marking” group

Change The Excel export has been optimised. Numerical values (nominal dimension, upper and lower tolerance, upper and lower limit) are now no longer exported as text, but as a number. The Excel function "VALUE" recommended in the documentation is thus no longer needed to convert the text into a number. The settings in infra CONVERT for the decimal separators used in the Excel export are also no longer needed and are no longer applicable.
See User Manual > More > Create and customize Excel templates
See User Manual > Settings > Settings > Export > “Excel test plan” group
Bug fix When exporting drawing or stamp graphics in 24-bit BMP format, the graphics were output larger by the factor of the set quality level when edge smoothing (anti-aliasing) was activated. This error has been corrected. (Background: A graphic is internally rendered larger by the specified quality level and then reduced again by the same factor using the set interpolation procedure in order to achieve a smoothing of the edges. The reduction failed with BMP graphics).
User Interface, Drawing, Characteristics
See User Manual > Functions > Characteristics > Deconstruct text block
Extension In addition to the name of a class, a description can also be defined. Descriptions are now displayed in the characteristics properties as an addition to the class name.
See Administrator's Manual > Configuration and Import > Parameter file "CharacteristicClasses" > Display text
Change When double-clicking on an entry in the characteristic list, the characteristic is no longer only centred, but the view assigned to the characteristic is fitted into the drawing window. The view exported later as a stamp graphic can thus be assessed directly by the user.
Change The mechanism for automatically determining the section of a drawing that is shown in the stamp view has been improved. Especially when only the text of a dimension entry is stamped, which is often the case with PDF drawings, the views now usually show the entire relevant content.
Bug fix In exceptional cases, zero values from dimension specifications in drawing entries were not transferred to the characteristic properties. This error has been corrected.
Saving, Export

- Field "Suffix" (Characteristics Properties Window and Stamp-with-Dialogue)
- Filter characteristics (Characteristics overview window)
- Hide stamped drawing elements (Toolbar)
Saving, Export
See Administrator’s Guide > Export > Quality test plan format JSONV1 > Characteristics
Bug fix In the last version, the possibility was introduced to build the file name of the stamp graphic from the test plan title, version and stamp text instead of the stamp GUID. However, the file name or the file path of the stamp graphics was still exported with the GUID to the test plans in DFD, CSV and Excel format. This error has been corrected.

Bug fix and Extention A characteristic is automatically assigned the category "Inspection dimension" if the drawing entry is marked with a laterally rounded frame. The same applies to the "Theoretically exact dimension" category, which is assigned if the drawing entry is marked with a rectangular frame. Bug fix When working in the drawing window, and this also applies to the work in the drawing comparison, most users in very rare cases, a few users more frequently froze the window or received an error message ("Renderer could not be initialized") and then the program crashed. The cause of this instability has been fixed.
Analysis and Characteristic properties
Bug fix Two errors related to manually created characteristics have been corrected in the drawing comparison. Firstly, characteristics could not be transferred to a new inspection plan version if they had originally been created manually in infra - CONVERT v11 using the quick input dialog and loaded into infra CONVERT 2019 in an ICP project. On the other hand, the transfer was unnecessarily slow.
Bug fix The paths of last opened projects on the start page are checked for actuality at program start.
Saving and Export
Change and extension The test plan export in CSV format contains two changes (1 and 2) to make it compatible with the CSV export from infra - CONVERT version 11, as well as an extension (3):
1) Column 13 ("Count" or "Repetitions") is exported as column 19.
2) The parameter names are output depending on the language set in the program.
3) The file name of the drawing sheet on which the stamp is located is also output.

Analysis and Characteristic properties
Change/Bug fix By entering a text field in the "Characteristics Properties" window, the user could assign the same stamp label to a characteristic if he was on a different drawing sheet. The assignment of the same stamp labels within one inspection plan version is now prevented and in another inspection plan version only possible after confirmation of a warning message.
Bug fix The field "Modifiers" in the window "Characteristics" was defective.
Bug fix If an already stamped drawing entry was decomposed, the link between the existing characteristic and this drawing entry no longer existed, leading to instability. The decomposition of an already stamped drawing entry is now only possible if the user agrees to delete the characteristic in the process.
Bug fix In very large drawings, too fast stamping of individual drawing entries one after the other could lead to defective characteristics being created. This problem has been fixed.

Corrections
- IGES drawings from NX8 where interpreted wrong. The new version recognizes IGES files from NX8 and will display them in the correct way.
- Infra-CONVERT now identifies drawing borders generated by some CAD software (like Pro/E and SolidEdge) and won’t set stamps on them anymore. To use this feature the border of the drawing has to be labeled starting with “A” and “1”, like “A1”.
- ProE does not export geometric tolerances as blocks when saving as DXF/DWG drawings. Therefore infra-CONVERT now searches for the symbols of geometric tolerances and combines them with following texts.
- If a feature gets the same stamp number after loading an old project version for revision, the stamp gets it’s original ID, so the import into a CAQ software recognizes the same stamp.
- If a newer version of a drawing is loaded via “Load old project version” the system now interprets the decimal point “.” or “,” as the same, because some software systems changes the decimal point via their export settings.

This function is now available when multiple features have been selected. This has the advantage that multiple features can be simultaneously assigned to a single section of the drawing.
- New option: “General -> PDF import parameter” - This setting page can be used to set the parameters for the import of PDF files. This is usually only necessary in exceptional cases, such as when a PDF file needs to be imported and the PC’s RAM is limited. In such cases reducing colour depth in the settings can help.
- Improved IGES interface: CAD producer, PTC, has changed the name of its software products. Pro/Engineer has become Creo Elements/Pro and ME10-Linie has changed to Creo Elements/Direct Drafting, with result that IGES files from this system now have new names. To ensure automatic error correction and adaptation functions properly when importing IGES files from this system a new version of the interface has been included in Version 11.4.00 of infra-CONVERT.
Corrections
- The “Produce test plan \ graphics file \ graphics in B&W mode” option did not work as the error was in reading off the configuration file template.
- With Windows XP systems the programme windows was not correctly displayed when loading IGES files with no text or dimensions.
- The “Search all features” and “Area selection” functions sometimes produced variable results. This has been corrected in that now the “Search all features” function includes the complete drawing in the window followed by an automatic area selection from the whole window. Both functions now use the same programme logic.
